1. Petronas Towers



Petronas Twin Towers

in Kuala Lumpur were completed in 1998 . Up to 2004 they were the world's tallest buildings - 450 metres high

2. Empire State Building



Empire State Building

is a 102 story skyscraper in the middle of Manhattan. Built in the early 1930s, the Empire State Building is one of the most iconic landmarks of New York.

3. The Shard



The Shard

has 72 stories and is 309 metres tall. Completed in 2012 it is the largest skyscraper in London and the UK.

4. Shanghai Tower



Shanghai Tower

rises to a height of 632 metres. It is the tallest building in China and the world's third - tallest. It also has the world's fastest elevators, which reach a speed of over 70 km per hour.

5. Transamerica Pyramid



Transamerica Pyramid

is one of the architectural symbols of San Francisco. Completed in 1972, it was the eighth-tallest building at that time .

is a television and radio tower in the Japanese capital .It was finished in 2012 .

7. Burj Khalifa



Burj Khalifa

is a a skyscraper in Dubai and at present the world's tallest structure. It has a total height of 829 metres. It was completed in 2009

8. Merdeka 118 Tower



Merdeka 118

is a 118-story skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur. At 678 metres, it is the world's second-tallest building. It was completed in 2022.

9. The Clock Towers



Clock Tower

is part of a hotel complex in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  It has a height of 601 metres.

10. Taipei 101



Taipei 101

is a 101-story skyscraper in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. It was the world's tallest building from 2004 until 2010.
